Early beginnings

OK, don't laugh ....  ;)

Here is one of my early cards, and I do mean early, that I made for my dear mom. This was back in late October 2011, when I was just venturing into the card-marking world. I do wish I could have done more with it, but at the time I didn't have much to work with and was still learning and figuring all this out -- much as I am still doing today.  :)

I just love that quote.  :) In retrospect, that quote also reminds me of my friend Heather, back on Dec. 9, 2011, and she'll know why.  :)

Honestly, as meager as it may seem, looking back I'm still happy and pleased with that card. It was my first actual attempt, my first "I can do this" feeling. It was a simple, flat card, where I wrote a note on the back and sent it to my mom.  I may revisit this idea another time, since I have a little more experience and material now, but there's nothing quite like those early attempts.  :)
